E Portfolio
The following is my brand new Electronic-Portfolio (E-Portfolio). An E-Portfolio allows you to have a central place where companies and people can learn more about you and your background. You can display your resume, training, projects, skills and anything you would like a person or prospective employer to know about you. The internet has many resources that allow you to set up your E-Portfolio for free. In my case, I have used a Wiki. A Wiki is very easy to use and does not require you to know any web design or programming to create one.
I have just started my e-portfolio and it should improve over time.

TCEA 2009
I will have the opportunity to attend the 2009 TCEA, Texas Computer Education Association. Even though I will be out of the class room February 2-9, the benefits will be worth it. If possible, I will blog about interesting topics and workshops I attend.
I also have the opportunity to co-present with the very talented Whitney Kilgore. This will be my first presentation to professionals and hope I do not slow down Whitney to much.
That is the plan and hope my district does not run out of funds by February and cannot send me to Austin. I will keep you up to date.

Google SketchUp
I am designing a lesson that will have my students build their own bridge. I was given a suggestion to use a program that the students could use to draw the bridge. Google to the rescue again. It seems to be a powerful tool and a free version is available for educators.

Plan to use this for my Lesson design for 6341

Motivation
The plan for this blog is to try and keep fellow educators current on new technologies that can be used in education. Interesting and useful resources will be displayed here for people to view. As I continue my education and become a full fledged MTT, I will use this blog to present and get feedback from educators on any projects or initiatives that I have undertaken.
